Membership: Doreen Guma. We should put ads about our meetings in Port/Times Record. Also, put some type of banner about our civic meetings in the library to get more people at our meetings each month.

P.O Box for $90.00 for the Cumsewogue Historical Society approved by members present.
Jack Smith – Thanked the Civic for the P.O. Box approval. Restoration of the Union Hall is nearing completion. Steve Fiore-Rosenthal and the Brookhaven Parks Department did a phenomenal job on the building and it was kept the same as it was.
Laurie received site plans in the mail for Five Guys Burgers and Tropical Smoothies which are being constructed at the end of the Nesconset Shopping Center.
March 2009 Ruling
Auto Zone construction has begun on Route 347. Laurie asked her uncle, an attorney, about this ruling and how it applies to the civics. According to her uncle, this ruling was only for the trial at hand. We should send the Town an official letter on this issue to protect our community.
Laurie asked members to attend the May 10, 2011 Town of Brookhaven Board Meeting at 6:00 pm to voice our opposition to the ordinance which does not require that the developers go to the civics for approval of their projects.
TD Bank Project will begin on or about May 1st. He will be beautifying the corner with a sign indicating Port Jefferson Station/ Terryville.

He also reported on the lighting on Route 112. Several of the business there agreed to this lighting. Tony Rotoli will serve on the lighting committee. Jefferson Meadows Project not done yet.
Civic will try to host a Meet the Candidates Night for Town elected officials in September 2011.
Greenway Project: Charles McAteer
He introduced Devon Daniel, Executive Director, Boys and Girls Club. He spoke about the North Brookhaven Little League Project on 36.5 acres of the Greenway property. It would cost 17 million dollars and would be used by the community at large and he would like it to begin by spring 2012. Discussion ensued.

Relay for Life: Since 1984, they have donated over 3 billion dollars to Stony Brook Medical Center.
On May 2, 2011 between 10-1 at the Cancer Center at SB Medical Center there will be a melanoma screening for the public. The American Cancer Society offers free rides for treatment; wigs, cosmetics, and camp for children with cancer ages 6-18.
On June 17 and 18 at Ward Melville High School from 6 pm until 6 pm there will be the Relay for Life. Contact Nick Bubolo at
